Nursery – Can you help?

We love books at Flora Stevenson Nursery.  We encourage our children and families to make regular use of our library.  The library is open on Fridays at drop off time.  The library is run on self-service basis.

Occasional volunteers to tidy and re-stock are appreciated.  We also have a ‘bedtime book box’ in the cloakroom which you can help yourself to at any time.

We encourage and support the contributions of all parents and staff to foster teamwork in a mutually supportive environment where working together to develop the best interests of children is of central importance.

The nursery team regularly ask for help with nursery activities, outings, cultural and religious events, knitting, crochet, craft, wood work and gardening.  If you have any skills or talents, you could offer the nursery please do share this with a member of the team.

We would be grateful if you could put your child’s name on all items of clothing.  Also, if your child comes to nursery in wellington boots, please provide a pair of indoor shoes for them to change into.

Donations of children’s clothing are always appreciated.

We are regularly looking for cardboard boxes, egg boxes, kitchen roll tubes, yogurt pots and bottle tops etc. for our junk modelling.
